Lokale und regionale Ozonproduktion: Chemie und Transport Abschlussbericht

The work was a contribution to the EUROTRAC Sub-project Tropospheric Ozone Research (TOR). The following contributions were made: - Co-ordination of TOR and contributions to quality assurance masures. - Operation of the field station Schauinsland (continuous measurements of NOx, NOy, CO, VOC (C_2-C_5), O_3, PAN, Particles, meteorol. param., photolysis rates). The data were supplied to the TOR data base and made available for model evaluation (EURAD). The data set was analysed statistically. During intensive field compaigns, special investigations were made of the local ozone formation rate (peroxy radicals) and of the balance of radicals, ozone and precursors in the plume of the city of Freiburg (cooperation with TRACT). - Vertical soundings were made for characterisation of the lager scale climatology of ozone and water vapor and for investigation of the influence of photochemistry and transport from the stratosphere. The work included extended laboratory investigations with respect to the QA/QC of commonly used balloon borne ozone and water vapor sensors. - The results were implemented in the EUROTRAC Application Project and WMO assessements. (orig.)Das Vorhaben war ein Beitrag zum EUROTRAC Projekt Tropospheric Ozone Research (TOR). Es wurden folgende Beitraege geleistet: - Koordination von TOR und Qualitaetssicherungsmassnahmen im Rahmen von TOR - Betrieb der Messstation Schauinsland (kontinuierliche Messungen von NOx, NOy, CO, VOC (C_2-C_5), O_3, PAN, Partikel, Meteorol. Param., Photolyseraten). Die Daten wurden in der TOR Datenbank geliefert und fuer Modellrechnungen zur Verfuegung gestellt (EURAD). Es wurden statistische Untersuchungen zur Charakterisierung des Datensatzes durchgefuehrt. In Messkampagnen wurden spezielle Untersuchungen (Peroxiradikale) zur lokalen Photochemie und zur Bilanz von Radikalen, Vorlaeufern und Photooxidantien in der Abluftfahne von Freiburg durchgefuehrt (TRACT). -Vertikale Ozonsondierungen zur Charakterisierung der grossraeumigen Klimatologie von Ozon und Wasserdampf und des Einflusses von Photochemie und Transport aus der Stratosphaere. Umfangreiche Qualitaetsicherungsmassnahmen fuer Ozonesonden und Feuchtesensoren. - Die Ergebnisse wurden in das EUROTRAC Application Project und in WMO Assessments eingebracht.
