Steuerung der Bioverfuegbarkeit von Chloraromaten durch Tensid-modifizierte Tonminerale - Sorption und biologischer Abbau

Thema dieser Arbeit war die Steuerung der Bioverfuebarkeit von Chloroaromaten durch Sorption an Tensid-modifizierte Tonminerale. Dafuer wurde zunaechst das Sorptionsverhalten von 2,4-Dichlorphenol (DCP) und Monochlorbenzol (MCB) an Tonmineralen, die mit verschieden quartaeren Alkylammoniumverbindungen (Kationtensiden) modifiziert waren, charakterisiert. Der Einfluss der Tensidart und des Modifizierungsgrades auf die Sorption wurde geprueft, sowie ein Vergleich des Sorptionsverhaltens der beiden Chloraromaten durchgefuehrt. Neben der Bestimmung der Sorptionsisothermen wurde die Kinetik der DCP-Sorption beispielhaft an einem Organoton untersucht. Ein weiterer Aspekt war der Einfluss eines zweiten Feststoffes (Aquifermaterial) auf das Sorptionsverhalten der beiden Chloraromaten und die Adsorption an verschiedenen Mischungsverhaeltnissen aus den beiden festen Phasen. Die aus den Sorptionsmessungen erhaltenen Daten dienten als Grundlage fuer die Kombination der Sorption an Organotone mit biologischem Abbau und der Beobachtung der wechselseitigen Beeinflussung von Sorptions- und Abbauprozessen. Ziel dieser Untersuchungen war herauszufinden, ob und welche Organotone als Adsorbentien mit mikrobiologischen Sanierungsverfahren kombiniert werden koennen und ob bioverfuegbare Schadstoffkonzentrationen durch die Zugabe von Organtonen eingestellt werden koennen. (orig.)This study deals with means of controlling the bioavailability of chloroaromatics through sorption on surfactant-modified clay minerals. For this purpose the sorption behaviour of 2,4-dichlorophenol (DCP) and monochlorobenzene (MCB) on clay minerals modified by means of various quaternary alkyl ammonium compounds (cation surfactants) was characterised. The influence of the type of surfactant and degree of modification on sorption was examined, and the sorption behaviour of the two chloroaromatics was compared. Sorption isotherms were determined and the kinetics of DCP sorption was examined by way of example on an organoclay. Another aspect was the influence of a second solid (aquifer material) on the sorption behaviour of the two chloroaromatics and the adsorption for different mixture ratios of the two solid phases. The data obtained from the sorption measurements served as a basis for combining the sorption to organoclays with biodegradation and observing the interaction of sorption and degradation.
