The formation of mesoscopic structures, that means ordered structures on a length scale of 10 to 100 nm in many cases is based on macromolecular systems with a well-defined microheterogeneity, as is found for example in block- and graft copolymers. Within the framework of this project new amphiphilic graft copolymers have been synthesized by different routes of synthesis. Besides typical organic-chemical preparations in water were performed by ring opening metathesis and enzymatic methods, leading to amphiphilic graft copolymers.
