Untersuchungen zur Herstellung und zum Abbrandverhalten von Wirbelschichtpyrolysekoksen

The partial and selective combustion of coke formed by pyrolysis of waste materials could provide the heat to run a fluidized bed of hard coal char for pyrolysis or gasification purposes in an autothermal mode. Therefore the reactivity of various cokes and coal chars has been studied in two lab-scale facilities (thermobalance, fluidized bed) in the chemical regime. The cokes usually have been obtained by pyrolysis in a fluidized bed of sand. To calculate the kinetic parameters as activation energy E_A and collision factor k_0, the mass loss during combustion has been determined in a thermobalance. In case of the fluidized bed experiments the CO/CO_2-concentrations of the off-gas have been used to calculate the mass loss of carbon during combustion. The evaluation of the kinetic parameters has been done in the same way as for the thermobalance. A mass related reaction rate assuming a reaction order of one as regards mass of carbon and of #upsilon# as regards oxygen-concentration has been used for data analysis. The reactivity of cokes and coal chars are compared in an Arrhenius-plot (T=250-600 C). The rank of increasing reactivity is as follows: Hard coal char<lignite char<DSD-coke<char coal<straw coke. With respect to the kinetic data determined with the thermobalance it can be expected that a selective burnout of coke formed by pyrolysis in a fluidized bed of hard coal char can provide the heat to run the reactor in an autothermal mode. (orig.)Der partielle und selektive Abbrand von Pyrolysekoksen in einem Wirbelbett mit Steinkohlekoks als Bettmaterial koennte die benoetigte Waerme erzeugen, um in demselben Reaktor endotherme Pyrolyse- und Vergasungsreaktionen zur Behandlung organischer Reststoffe durchzufuehren. Zur Messung der Reaktivitaetsunterschiede der Kokse bezueglich Sauerstoff wurde an zwei Laborapparaturen (Thermowaage, Sandwirbelschicht) das Abbrandverhalten von Wirbelschicht-Pyrolysekoksen und Kohlekoksen im chemisch kontrollierten Temperaturbereich untersucht. Zur Bestimmung der formalkinetischen Parameter Aktivierungsenergie E_A und Stossfaktor k_0 wurde im Falle der Thermowaage die Massenverlustkurve bei isothermer Reaktionsfuehrung ausgewertet. Im Falle der Wirbelschicht wurde der zeitliche CO/CO_2-Verlauf im Abgas in eine Massenverlustkurve an Kohlenstoff umgerechnet und anschliessend analog zur Thermowaage ausgewertet. Zur Beschreibung der Kinetik wurde ein massenbezogener Ansatz erster Ordnung bezueglich der Kohlenstoffmasse und #upsilon#-ter Ordnung bezueglich der Sauerstoffkonzentration verwendet. Die an der Thermowaage bestimmten Reaktivitaeten der Kokse werden vergleichend in einem Arrhenius-Diagramm (T=250-600 C) dargestellt. Nach steigender Reaktivitaet geordnet lautet die Reihenfolge der untersuchten Kokse: Steinkohlenkoks<Braunkohlenkoks<DSD-Koks<Holzkoks<Strohkoks. Durch die an der Thermowaage bestimmten Reaktivitaetsunterschiede zwischen Pyrolysekoksen und Bettmaterial ist ein selektiver Abbrand der Pyrolysekokse beim Betrieb einer kontinuierlichen Kokswirbelschicht zu erwarten.
