It has been researched if it is possible to obtain compost from the year-round delivered waste. This was the purpose in Germany for developing a system to control the amount of oxygen in compost material which was tested under the prevailing climate conditions. For this test, eight windrows were used (30 x 6 x 2,5) with a main aeration pipe accompanied with nozzles and a regulated ventilator which delivers oxygen to the windrows. An even air distribution was accomplished by exact dimensioning (ventilator, the diameter of the pipes, number of nozzles and the diameter of the nozzles). Result: It is possible to produce hygienic compost with heavy metal contents and meet the regulation standards of the Chinese and German officials. For this it is necessary to sort. This can be done absolutely by hand. Electric cables must be laid in a manner that they are safe from typical damage caused by rats.
