The report describes the development of different techniques for the automated determination of environmental relevant metals in surface waters. Tracers of Se(IV) and As(III/V) can be determined by cathodic stripping voltammetry, T1 by anodic stripping voltammetry and Sb(III/V), Th(IV), Sn(IV) and U(VI) by adsorptive stripping voltammetry. Specification of the different oxidation states of arsenic and antimony is possible. The advantage of the developed procedure for the determination of Uranium as chloranilic complex is that no sample pretreatment is necessary which has normally to be done to decompose polluted water samples by UV irradiation or microwave digestion.
