The program system REPETRA (Regional PEsticide TRAnsport model) has been developed for modelling of the overall pesticide transport starting from application on the soil surface, transport through the unsaturated zone and through the saturated zone up to the emission from the groundwater. Partial models with defined transition conditions are used to describe the unsaturated zone and the saturated zone. For solution of the stochastic differential equation system the Monte Carlo method is applied. The program system accounts for uncertainties due to unknown temporal and spatial parameter distributions and unknown measuring faults.
