Vermeidung von Abfaellen durch abfallarme Produktionsverfahren Fahrzeugserienlackierung

The different methods of protective coating used in seriell motorcar lacquering and the kind and quantity of wastes and methods of waste processing are reviewed. By consequent application of conventional methods the lacquer sludge formation can be substantially reduced (80 - 90% within 10 years). For the realization of new lacquering technologies in the seriell motorcar lacquering additional research and development activities should be directed on the use of ultrafiltration for the recycling of water-filler overspray, on combined ultrafiltration and water-clear varnish systems and on the reuse of coagulates in thick layer materials.
