Die Eignung der natuerlichen Radonkonzentration der Bodenluft als Indikator fuer Bodenkontaminationen durch Non-Aqueous Phase-Liquids (NAPLs) wurde untersucht. Als Arbeitsthese wurde eingangs postuliert, dass infolge der sehr hohen Loeslichkeit von Radon in NAPLs eine NAPL-Kontamination in der grundwasserungesaettigten Bodenzone aufgrund der Akkumulation des Radons in der NAPL eine lokale Verringerung des Radongehalts der Bodenluft in der Umgebung der Kontamination nach sich zieht und somit eine Detektion der Kontamination ermoeglicht.
