This CD ROM contains more than 180 papers presented at the 4th International Symposium on Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV'01), held in Goettingen, Germany, September 17 to 19, 2001. The PIV'01 Symposium has been organized by the Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology of DLR, Goettingen, Germany, in co-operation with the Drittes Physikalisches Institut of the University of Goettingen and the Laser Laboratorium Goettingen. The two- and-a-half day symposium consists of five invited lectures, more than 180 contributed papers and posters, discussion sessions and an exhibition.
