Untersuchung des Energieflusses ausserhalb von Jets in der Photon-Proton-Streuung bei HERA

We present an investigation of photoproduction events containing 2 jets with at least 7 GeV transverse energy. These events were produced at the HERA ep collider during 1993 and were recorded by the H1 detector. The transverse energy flow outside of jets, in the central rapidity range in the #gamma#p cms, i.e. vertical stroke #eta#"* vertical stroke <1, as well as the cross section d#sigma#/dx_#gamma#"h"a"d for these events, have been measured. Predictions from several models are compared to this data. The models are based on leading order QCD calculations of resolved and direct processes. They include phenomenological parametrizations for hadronization and QCD cascade approximations for gluon radiations in the initial and final state. The simulation of resolved processes allows for explicit photon-proton remnant interactions in addition to the hard parton-parton scattering. It is shown that if remnant interactions are ignored no satisfying description of the measurements can be achieved. Their inclusion, however, together with the GRV parametrization of the parton density inside the photon, yields a good description of both, the data on energy flow outside jets, and the differential 2-jet cross section d#sigma#/dx_#gamma#"h"a"d derived from the jet kinematics in these events.
