This study is concerned with the sound radiation from a vibrating Reissner/Mindlin's plate that includes the effects of shear deformation and rotatory inertia of the plate. For the numerical analysis, the Boundary Element Method is employed for both the plate and the fluid. Two different boundary element formulations for the plate are established. One is the so-called Boundary/Domain Element Method which applies the static fundamental solutions to the dynamic problem. Thus the plate surface has to be discretized. The other one is the usual Boundary Element Method based on the dynamic fundamental solutions of the problem which are derived in the study for the first time.
