The Close Coupling Formalism is applied to the neutron-deuteron problem with local Malfliet-Tjon interaction. Expanding the three-body wave function into Sturmian Functions of the deuteron subsystem a system of coupled one-dimensional integro-differential equations for the neutron-deuteron relative wave function is derived which then is solved by a self consistent iteration scheme. The triton binding energy as well as elastic scattering parameters are calculated. Finally the differences to AGS and Faddeev Formalism are pointed out.
