Nous avons entrepris la construction de mutants du locus -pgsA-htrB-pimA des espèces C. glutamicum ATCCl3032 et Corynebacterium sp 2262 (reclassifiées comme C. glutamicum Or2262). Deux gènes de ce locus, pgsA et pimA sont, chez Mycobacterium tuberculosis, des gènes essentiels pour la survie, et impliqués dans la biosynthèse de lipoarabinoyl mannane (LAM), un important déterminant de pathogénicité de cet organisme. Nous avons réussi à construire des mutants htrB et pimA chez C. glutamicum. Ces mutants montrent une perméabilité altérée aux antibiotiques chloramphénicol, érythromycine, et kanamycine.
