De part ses caractéristiques naturelles, le massif vosgien est une zone très sensible au problème d'acidification des eaux de surface. Nos travaux ont essentiellement porté sur l'étude d'un crustacé amphipode acido-sensible, Gammarus fossarum, en optant pour une approche à différents niveaux d'organisation. Nous avons tout d'abord identifié les paramètres physico-chimiques influençant la répartition et l'abondance de l'espèce dans les ruisseaux. Dans un second temps, nous avons évalué l'effet de stress acides épisodiques sur les communautés benthiques en général et plus particulièrement sur G. fossarum.
