Le niobate de strontium barium SrxBa1-xNb2O6 (SBN:x) possède à l'état de cristal massif d'excellentes propriétés électro-optiques (r33 augmente avec le taux x de strontium et peut atteindre 1300 pm/V). L effet Pockels y est nettement supérieur à celui que l on observe dans les cristaux de LiNbO3, matériau de référence en électro-optique. L objectif du travail présenté ici est de préparer des films minces de SBN qui possèdent des propriétés électro-optiques héritées de celles du matériau massif et permettent à terme d intégrer traitement optique du signal à faible tension (par effet Pockels) et guidage planaire.
