Memorias, resistencias y patrimonios vivos de pueblos desplazados y olvidados: caso Yemayá

This research analyzes the ways of conserving the socio-cultural heritage of Yemayá, a community organization with an artistic-cultural vocation, which groups people in situations of forced displacement from the Colombian South Pacific, located in the municipality of Tuluá. The fundamental axis of this research is the interpretation of the identity transformations that the population experiences as a result of the abrupt abandonment of their territories of origin until they settle in their new habitat. This journey identifies their collective dynamics, their cultural practices, and their ways of conceiving, narrating and inhabiting reality. This process was carried out through a journey through the oral and dance tradition of the Yemayá organization, which allowed us to appreciate the sociocultural phenomenon and its changes, related to one's own history and especially to memory and resistance. There are several approaches with which we have studied the transformations that a population lives when it has been forcibly displaced from its territory and has settled in a new space; it can be identified that, in the first instance, the territory, the identity and the oral tradition are part of the essence of the human being, on the other hand, the importance of knowing better the intersubjective and sociological mechanisms that underlie this behavior is highlighted. In the case of this study, in addition to the mentioned aspects, we want to describe how their oral and dance practices are part of their cultural and intangible heritage and, with these practices, the fundamental legacy of their ancestors is kept alive. These practices denote various benefits in the areas of demographic, dance and customs, which affect the groups where they currently live. This research is based on three intergenerational life stories (grandmother, son and granddaughter) who, through their narratives, showed the difficulties they have endured since the beginning of the armed conflict in their territories of origin until discrimination and exclusion in the city of destination, and how these actions have influenced their identity processes and the conservation of their intangible and dance heritageEn esta investigación se analizan las formas de conservación del patrimonio sociocultural de Yemayá, una organización comunitaria de vocación artística-cultural, que agrupa a personas en situación de desplazamiento forzado del Pacífico sur colombiano, radicadas en el municipio de Tuluá. El eje fundamental de esta investigación, es la interpretación de las transformaciones identitarias que vive la población a raíz del abandono abrupto de sus territorios de origen hasta asentarse en su nuevo hábitat. En este recorrido se identifica sus dinámicas colectivas, sus prácticas culturales, sus formas de concebir, narrar y habitar la realidad. Este proceso se realizó a través de un recorrido por la tradición oral y danzaria de la organización Yemayá, que permitió apreciar el fenómeno sociocultural y sus cambios, relacionados con la propia historia y especialmente con la memoria y la resistencia. Son varios los abordajes con los que se han estudiado las transformaciones que vive una población cuando ha sido desplazada forzosamente de su territorio y se ha asentado en nuevo espacio; puede identificarse que, en primera instancia, el territorio, la identidad y la tradición oral forman parte de la esencia del ser humano, por otro lado, se resalta la importancia de conocer mejor los mecanismos intersubjetivos y sociológicos que subyacen a este comportamiento. En el caso de este estudio, además de los aspectos mencionados, se quiere describir cómo sus prácticas orales y danzarias forman parte de su patrimonio cultural e inmaterial y, con estas prácticas, se mantiene vivo el legado fundamental de sus ancestros. Estas prácticas denotan diversos beneficios en los ámbitos demosófico, danzario y costumbrista, que inciden en los colectivos donde actualmente habitan.
