In the Next Generation Networks the control plane and the service plane are entirely separated. This separation ensures the autonomy of each plane and enables their independent development and deployment. The specification of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), as a unique service control overlay over the heterogeneous networks, eases the interaction between these planes. However, this interaction becomes challenging when multiple services are invoked during a session.
