In order to progress in the comprehension of the characters implied in sunflower seed quality under drought condition, we carried out several experiments. Our materials were two populations of sunflower expressing various sources of genetic variability: recombinant inbreeds lines (RILs) and mutants.Genetic variability of RILs was studied for seed germination traits under normal and drought conditions. Several QTLs controlling the percentage of germination were identified. We detected 6 non-specific QTLs for the two experimental conditions.
