Typology of Mentor Relationship Process and Approach of a Mentor Towards a Child in this Relationship

Study is focused on the issue of the mentoring relationship, the process of its' development, characteristic features and quality. Study observe the role of the mentor and his/her influence to the relationship characteristics and quality. The aim of the study is to identify the characteristics of the mentoring relationship in mentoring program 5P and the role of mentor to its' charasteristics and quality. The theoretical framework of the study is focused on the mediation, mediated learning experience and the role of the significant adults in the child's socialization. Other theoretical concepts sum up the development of the relationship according to the communication theory and the theory about the dilemmas in the bringing-up relationship. These concepts explain the role of mentor in the relationship and the childs' life and help us to identify the characteristic features of the mentoring relationship. The theoretical part also concludes the results of previous research on the field of mentoring. Empirical part of the study is based on two research methods: The content analysis of the documents and the semi-structured interviews. The expectation and the discrepancy in the...Anotace: Předmětem předkládané práce je zkoumání průběhu, charakteristických rysů a vlivu přístupu mentora na vytváření kvality v mentorském vztahu mentoringového programu Pět P v Praze. Je příspěvkem k vytvoření evaluačního výzkumného nástroje pro mentorský program Pět P a udává nový pohled na vyhodnocení kvality mentorského vztahu, zprostředkovaného mentorským programem. Studie vychází z teoretických konceptů a výsledků předchozího výzkumu mentoringu, socializaci a mediaci, vývoje mezilidských vztahů a o dilematech výchovného vztahu. Hypotázami práce jsou předpoklady, že mentorský vztah se vyvíjí v několika variantách. Kvalita mentorského vztahu není dosažena pokaždé, ale je spjata se způsobem přístupu ve vztahu mentora k dítěti. Že spokojenost dobrovolníka ve vztahu bude ovlivňovat způsob jeho přístupu k dítěti, a že dilemata mentorů ovlivní jejich přístup k dítěti. Výzkumné otázky výzkumu zní: Existují rozdíly v průběhu mentorských vztahů během jejich trvání v programu Pět P? Existují rozdíly v přístupu mentorů k dětem? Mají tyto rozdílné přístupy vliv na kvalitu mentorského vztahu? Jaká jsou dilemata a zdroje spokojenosti dobrovolníků? Jaký mají vliv na způsob přístupu mentora k dítěti?
