This work is focused on the investigations of the heterogeneous chemistry between trace gases and mineral aerosols. While many studies were carried out in this field, none of them studied the effect of light. The relevance of this study is related to the fact that the mineral particles contain metallic oxides such as TiO2 (which have known photocatalytic properties), Fe2O3 and Al2O3. The NO2 uptake coefficients onto these oxides were measured using a horizontal coated wall flow-tube coupled with various detectors specific to the studied trace gases.
