International Organization of Journalists (1946-1995)

The rigorous thesis: "International Organization of Journalists (1946-1995)" deals with the history, development, aims and activities of the International Organization of Journalists (hereinafter IOJ) in the period from 1946 to 1995, thus since its creation in the year 1946 to the year 1995, when the last Congress IOJ in Jordanian Amman was held. The introductory part of the text is focused on a brief resumption of three most important international journalists' organizations, which were established before the year 1946 - the International Congress of Journalists, the International Federation of Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists from Allied and Free Countries. In the second chapter are first summarized history of IOJ and described main phases of IOJ's development - these are periodizated according to IOJ's Congresses. An integral part of the description and periodization is quotation of main international and Czechoslovak political circumstances, which had a real impact on the organization. The next text is followed by IOJ's objectives, aims, activities and structure. Finally, the IOJ's main persons and the curriculum vitae of the five leaders are mentioned. The third chapter deals with the IOJ's operation in the territory of Czechoslovakia/CSFR/CR, in the period from the...Rigorózní práce: "Mezinárodní organizace novinářů (1946-1995)" pojednává o historii, vývoji, cílech, činnosti a působení Mezinárodní organizace novinářů (dále jen MON) v letech 1946-1995, tj. od doby jejího vzniku v roce 1946 až do roku 1995, kdy se uskutečnil poslední kongres MON v jordánském Ammánu. Úvodní část textu je věnována stručné rekapitulaci nejvýznamnějších mezinárodních novinářských organizací, které byly založeny do roku 1946, tj. do vzniku MON. Jedná se o Mezinárodní kongres novinářů, Mezinárodní federaci novinářů a Mezinárodní federaci novinářů ze spojeneckých a svobodných zemí. Ve druhé kapitole je nejprve shrnuta historie vzniku MON a popsány hlavní etapy vývoje - ty jsou periodizovány podle kongresů MON. Nedílnou součástí popisu a periodizace je zaznamenání hlavních světových i domácích politických událostí, které měly na organizaci nesporný vliv. Poté jsou uvedeny cíle, činnosti, působení a struktura MON. Nakonec jsou uvedeny hlavní osoby MON a zmíněny životopisy pěti čelních představitelů. Třetí kapitola je věnována působení MON na území ČSSR/ČSFR/ČR, a to v době od roku 1947 až do roku 1991, kdy se poprvé objevilo formální rozhodnutí o odejmutí práva MON mít sídlo na území ČSFR, jakož i vyvíjet související činnost.
