Disertační práce zkoumá možnosti fenomenologické filosofie zabývat se otázkou spásy v křesťanském smyslu s ohledem na projekt materiální fenomenologie Michela Henryho. Poslední trojice knih Michela Henryho znamenala v jeho tvorbě obrat ke křesťanství a postavila napětí dvou základních modů jevení, které jeho fenomenologie postuluje, do těsného vztahu s otázkou života a smrti člověka. Zároveň v maximální míře exponovala subjektivní pól jevení a učinila subjektivitu vlastním polem, na němž se příběh spásy člověka odehrává. Práce zkoumá jak obecné pojetí subjektivity v materiální fenomenologii, tak konkrétní pojetí božského a lidského subjektu v posledních třech knihách Michela Henryho.
