Psychological Handicap or the Difficulty of the Social Integration of the Highly Visually-impaired

The purpose of this thesis was to describe an area of the social integration of visual impaired and blind people in the intact society. It investigates some of areas of life of people with visual disability, acceptance of them in intact society and creation of the positions to people with visual handicap. The first part brings the characterization of the personality of people with visual handicap, their adult age, parenhood and and problems of their employment. The second part deals with anatomy, physiology and patophysiology of visual apparatus. The third part desribes specific problems of the integration of people with visual handicap in the society. The fourth practic part brings actual findings of social study about acceptance of people with visual impairment by intact society.Diplomová práce měla za cíl zmapovat oblast sociální integrace těžce zrakově postižených a nevidomých lidí do intaktní společnosti. Zabývala se oblastmi života lidí se zrakovým postižením, jejich přijímáním většinovou společností, vytvářením postojů intaktních k lidem s handicapem. V první kapitole byl charakterizován obraz osobnosti člověka se zrakovým postižením, s důrazem na jeho dospělý věk, rodičovství a uplatnění v pracovním procesu. Druhá kapitola se věnovala zrakovému vnímaní, anatomii, fyziologii a patofyziologii zrakového orgánu. Ve třetí kapitole byla zpracována problematika integrace osob se zrakovým postižením do většinové společnosti. Čtvrtá, praktická kapitola přinesla aktuální poznatky sociologického šetření, které se týkalo nahlížení a přijímání těžce zrakově postižených a nevidomých intaktní společností.Katedra speciální pedagogikyFaculty of EducationPedagogická fakult
