Ce travail de recherche est consacré à l'étude des ressources animales et à la place de l'alimentation carnée dans les cultures protohistoriques d'Europe extrême occidentale. L'étude se fonde sur l analyse de plus de 45000 ossements d animaux issus de 19 sites archéologiques du nord-ouest de la France, localisés dans les actuelles régions de Bretagne et de Basse-Normandie. Les ensembles fauniques étudiés, datés du premier et du second Âge du Fer proviennent de contextes d habitats variés (ruraux, fortifiés de hauteur et littoraux). Leur analyse archéozoologique permet d aborder les questions d acquisition, de gestion et de consommation des ressources animales au sein de populations dont les territoires sont largement ouverts sur le littoral...
