Although significant progress has been made in the study of dynamic loading of aircraft structures, several areas have been identified that require further research. In particular, attention is drawn to problems involving transient, dynamic fluid-structure interaction, where fluids play an important role, heavily influencing the response of the structure to the applied dynamic load.
