Shelter is one of the basic human needs. Being a dynamic need that changes with society's socio-economic development and circumstances its role varies from one society to another, and with time. In addition to providing protection against environmental elements, housing provides privacy, security, gives opportunities for rest, relaxation and creativity, and it is a source of income to many households.
