Entrepreneurship education for sustainable development : investigating the influence of economic, social and environmental factors

This study is about entrepreneurship education and how it promotes sustainable entrepreneurship (i.e., for profit green/social business). The focus of this study is to examine the impact of varying economic, social and environmental concerns of those engaged in entrepreneurship education for sustainable development. Recently, two conceptual papers in the Journal of Business Venturing highlighted the opportunity to promote and exploit sustainable entrepreneurship (Cohen and Wimi, 2007; Dean and McMullen, 2007). However, little is known about the role of entrepreneurship education in promoting opportunities within the arena of sustainable development (for profit green/social business opportunities). We do not know whether individuals' economic, environmental and social concerns have any impact on learners' learning, attitudes, intentions and behaviours.
