Survivin is an essential protein for cell division and is additionally an inhibitor of apoptosis. The pathways that regulate mitosis and apoptosis are of fundamental importance, as misregulation of either process can contribute to the formation of cancer. Therefore as dual regulator of both mitosis and apoptosis, it is clear that clarification of Survivin's function and regulation within these processes is of great significance.EThOS - Electronic Theses Online ServiceGBUnited Kingdo
