The differential contribution of women entrepreneurs to economic development, with particular reference to Mysore, India

Indian policy makers have long had an interest in the way men and women behave in business, and the ways they can help encourage employment; particularly self employment. The primary research for this PhD, undertaken in summers 1998 and 2001 in Mysore in the South Indian State of Karnataka was designed to investigate this subject.
