Defects in differenfiafion are one of the major events presented in highly malignant leuroblastoma tumours. Evidence suggests differentiated neuroblastomas are Lssociated with improved patient outcome, but little is known regarding the molecular regulafion of differenfiation in vitro and in vivo. Although differentiation can be induced by alternative treatments, we hypothesise that there are some genes in common that become altered and a subset of these regulate the differentiation process in neuroblastoma cells. In conclusion, a set of candidate genes were identified to be involved in the regulation of neuroblastoma cell differentiation.EThOS - Electronic Theses Online ServiceGBUnited Kingdo
