A study of job satisfaction among male secondary school head teachers in Saudia Arabia

The aim of this thesis is to expand the understanding of the situation of male secondary school head teachers in Saudi Arabia in terms of their job satisfaction. This is particularly important in view of the small number of studies which have investigated head teachers' job satisfaction generally, and within the Saudi educational context in particular. This study employs a sequential exploratory strategy using a mixed methods approach. Drawing on five focus group interviews with 25 male head teachers, and semi-structured interviews with 20 male head teachers in the city of Jeddah the sample of the study, the data generated were used to identify the factors producing job satisfaction and causing dissatisfaction.EThOS - Electronic Theses Online ServiceGBUnited Kingdo
