Phraseological pedagogical lexicography : towards a more user-friendly dictionary of collocations, with special reference to Japanese learners of English

Collocation plays an important role in the production of not only correct but also natural English. This pedagogical need has been felt for a long time, and various dictionaries have been published to fulfill this need. However, it is only recently that special dictionaries for collocations have become established as one independent category, yet their structure allows only highly advanced learners and professionals to make a good and effective use of them.
