Cellular beams (CBs) have become increasingly popular in the UK and other countries over the recent years. However, the research into the behaviour of these beams has not advanced at the same rate. There is still no robust codified guidance available to design cellular beams and cellular composite beams at ambient and elevated temperatures. Meanwhile, numerical simulation approaches, such as Finite Element (FE) analysis, have enabled the researchers to advance their investigations into various behavioural aspects of these beams.
