International audienceThis study presents the effect of oxygen enrichment and CO2 dilution on laminar methane flame velocity. Experiments were carried out in a stainless steel combustion chamber at atmospheric pressure and 300 K. The methane was mixed with a mixture of O2, CO2 and N2. The ratio O2/(O2+N2) was varied from 21% to 100% and the volume fraction of CO2 in the mixture was varied from 0% to 40%, for an equivalence ratio of 0.7. The classical shadowgraphy technique was used to detect the reaction zone to deduce the un-stretched burning velocity, from the nonlinear methodology. Laminar flame velocities were deduced from this analysis. Laminar flame velocities were also calculated and compared to experiments
