This research tests the potential for live performance to enhance the evaluation of applied drama practice through a consideration of affect. The study is conducted from the position of a research-practitioner and a qualitative methodological approach is underpinned by the combination of an ethnographical and phenomenological perspective. Based on a case study conducted at HMP Maghaberry, the research focuses on the potential of live performance to provide a holistic interpretation and re-presentation of research findings emerging from the project.
