Resolving problems is the principal activity in mathematics programs of elementary school, especially for the last classes : so it is an important issue of the teaching of mathematics. In this research work, we took an interest in the game, wondering if playing strategy games in class could enable pupils to progress in resolving problems. After theoretical contributions about game and its use in class firstly, and about resolving problems in school secondly, this work reports experiments done in a 5th grade class.
