Le suivi santé-matière des matériaux et des structures s est révélé, au cours de ces dernières années, un sujet majeur de recherche, notamment dans le domaine des matériaux composites. Ces matériaux à haute performance sont de plus en plus utilisés pour les structures mécaniquement très sollicitées telles que les avions et les turbines éoliennes. Afin de vérifier que leur intégrité n est pas compromise, des systèmes permettant la surveillance in-situ de leur santé-matière sont développés.
