(2001) and Allen et al. (2002), and substantially earlier than the ca. 1.5 Ma proposed by Ritz et al. (2006). This new interpretation is based on the assumption that the present tectonics pattern (geometry of faults, slip vectors, and slip rates) did not vary through time
