This PhD thesis focuses on the thermal energy harvesting at microscale to propose an alternative to thermoelectric materials. The aim is to conceive, fabricate and characterize a microscopic harvester to take profit of the increase of thermal exchanges and oscillation frequencies with the downscaling. It is based on a double-step transduction: thermo-mecanical one thanks to the thermal buckling of a bilayer plate initially curved, and piezoelectric.Rectangular structures of different sizes composed of AlN and Al have been fabricated and characterized.
