International audienceThis paper presents a complementary criterion of flashover of DC high voltage polluted insulator based on the variation of the voltage with the leakage current. An electro-thermal static model based on this criterion and the criterion due to Dhabi et al. is proposed. The DC flashover voltage and the critical current computed thanks to this model are found in a good agreement with the experimental ones
