La place de la pensée visuelle pour l'interprétation français → LSF : retour sur une évidence

This research statement concerns the concept of visual thinking. This notion is often pointed out in studies related to French sign language (FSL), especially regarding to consequences on the interpretation from French language to FSL. This theoretical statement will deals with distinct objectives, as studying how much this concept intervenes on the quality of interpretation, but also including some various factors linked with the interpretative act. This analysis emphasizes the importance of the choice of point of view in order to discuss about visual thinking. This is a large and rich notion because it faces different subject matters, such as psychology, neurobiology, neuropsychology, philosophy, linguistic but also sociology. First of all, in chapter one and three, we will focus on these subject matters to understand that visual thinking is definitely related to spirit philosophy. Then, chapter two will deal with a linguistic study of FSL in order to discover the existent link between visual thinking and iconicity. Finally, chapter four will be dedicated to the question of interpretation and the notions of fidelity and quality. This topic will lead to the opportunity to create an experimental procedure to discuss the theory with the analysis of some datum that have been collected in a practical research.Ce mémoire s'articule autour de la notion de pensée visuelle, couramment mise en avant dans les études sur la langue des signes française (LSF) avec les conséquences sur l'interprétation du français vers la LSF. Par cette approche théorique, nous visons certains objectifs : interroger l'évidence de la pensée visuelle en interprétation simultanée en termes de qualité et envisager l'interprétation en tant que processus complexe faisant intervenir plusieurs facteurs. Cette analyse soulève l'importance de l'angle d'approche pour un concept aussi vaste et riche que la pensée visuelle : psychologie, neurobiologie, neuropsychologie, philosophie, linguistique ou encore sociologie. Ces différents champs d'étude seront abordés dans les chapitre un et trois pour comprendre qu'il relève d'une thématique de la philosophie de l'esprit. Le chapitre deux propose une analyse majoritairement linguistique pour comprendre que dans le champ de la LSF, la pensée visuelle est synonyme d'iconicité. Le chapitre quatre aborde plus précisément la question de l'interprétation et des notions de fidélité et de qualité. Il ouvrira vers la possibilité de mettre en pratique un protocole expérimental afin d'étayer l'analyse théorique par une analyse pratique de faits récoltés sur le terrain
