International audienceTooth movement obtained through orthodontic appliances result from a complex biochemical process, called bone remodeling, leading to bone cells adaptation to applied load. Several mechanical studies have been carried out in order to predict the tooth movement. Most authors consider the tooth and its surrounding tissue as an isotropic linear elastic material. However, the bone remodeling process is far from linear elasticity. It leads to permanent deformation due to biochemical actions. This work try to characterize the bone as elastoplastic while undergoing bone remodeling, with a known yield limit that should be modified to take into account the biochemical process.Le mouvement dentaire obtenu en orthodontie résulte d...
