Deux campagnes de pêche exploratoire ont été conduites dans l'est de l'Indonésie par l'ORSTOM, avec le N/O CORIOLIS, pour étudier la distribution et l'abondance des poissons pélagiques côtiers. Le document présente la méthodologie acoustique utilisée et donne les résultats de ces campagnes : caractéristiques physico-chimiquesde l'environnement, possibilités d'utilisation d'appât vivant pour la pêche au thon à la canne dans les Molluques du Sud (Ceram) et dans le nord de l'Irian Jaya (Waigeo et Sorenarwa), localisation des principales concentrations de poissons pélagiques dans les régions parcourues (Résumé d'auteur)
