Popular education is the education of children of the people and practical, technical and general education courses for adults, especially industrial workers. The analysis of projects and achievements of the Society for Instruction Elementary under the Restoration, and those of the Polytechnic Association and the Free Association for the Instruction/Education of the People under the July Monarchy, reveals the politics issues of education and professional training for the people and the difficulty in determining a pedagogy aimed at workers.Héritée de la Révolution française...
