Dental displacement is based on a number of biomechanical principles, including Newton's law of action/reaction. This reaction creates parasitic movements that slow down orthodontic treatments. Better anchoring helps us to control secondary movements and allows us to respect the treatment objectives. After analyzing the factors of failure we will evaluate the practices of the Great West (Normandy and Brittany) in order to compare them with scientific data.
