Research about intergroup contact and the reduction of prejudice as a result of this, is frequently studied. The generalization of these contact effects still is a relatively unknown topic. This study extends research on intergroup contact by examining the secondary transfer effect. The effect is a form of indirect contact whereby, next to a reduction of prejudice regarding a primary outgroup, a reduction of prejudice regarding a secondary noninvolved outgroup also takes place.
