INRA AvignonInternational audienceThe main objective of this work is to define relations to predict water and nitrate leaches under crop radical zone in Ferrasols of south of Havana. The work was done in two parts. First it was used a mechanistic model MACRO to simulate hydric balances in soil without crop with a wide range of water incomes to profile. As a result it was fitted a relation to predict water loses under crop radical zone as a function of precedent water content and daily total water incomes. In the second part of the work it was used the same range of incomes of water combined with four different quantities of applied nitrogen fertilizer.
