International audienceMade of raw glass imported from the Middle East, the production of glass in La Tène societies reached its peak in the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C. With the production of beads and bracelets, glassmakers specialized in the first glass workshops of continental Europe in a moment of social and economic transformation during the Late Iron Age. In order to understand the materials and human resources involved in the production of La Tène glass jewelry, an experimental project was started in 2009 bringing together glass-makers and archaeologists.
