An algorithm for the control of a six degree of freedom motion simulation platform is developed. The motivations for including notion cueing in a simulator are given. A model of a typical simulator is developed to investigate the performance of the motion filter. Aircraft motion is transformed, via the aircraft pilot and the simulator operator, into platform motion. The aircraft configuration is typical of a large passenger aircraft. The platform model is similar to the six axis synergistic platforms which are com non on flight training simulators. Inputs to the motion filter comprise the acceleration of the aircraft pilots centre of perception and a zero position command. Tilt generation is utilised to induce sustained translati...
